Take a trip back in time to when Siam was the strongest nation in South East Asia. The Chinese merchants at one point dominated South East Asia’s seaborne trade, particularly after the collapse of the Dutch East India Company. In fact, it wasn’t until Field Marshall Phibun Songgram became premier in 1939 that Thailand became Thailand, and ceased being called Siam. This holiday will give you the opportunity to really explore what Siam was about, and re-experience first hand some of the unique cultural aspects of the era.
Day 1 - Arrive in Bangkok and on the first evening you will visit the Siam Niramit show, which is a world-class performance of Thailand’s arts and cultural heritage. This must-see spectacular is performed on the gigantic stage now listed in the Guinness World Records, featuring over 150 performers with as many as 500 costumes.
Day 2- A trip to the ancient capital of Siam, Ayutthaya, where you will see the ancient ruins. You will be taken in a private limo with your own driver and personal host, and spend the entire day enjoying the sights. Ayutthaya is about two hours drive from Bangkok. You can also enjoy a short elephant ride on top of an elephant.
Day 3 - The morning starts with a trip to the Museum of Siam. The Museum of Siam is an old government building that has been converted into a museum, and there are antique tile floors and wooden stairs that give it that old fashioned feel. Here you can find out about the background to Siam and learn more about the culture, and your personal host will take you through the museum and then in the afternoon take you shopping. You will have the opportunity to visit MBK and Siam Discovery Centre, and have your photographs taken wearing traditional Siam costumes. This is a great opportunity to dress back in time, and a fabulous souvenir to take back with you.
Day 4 – No Siam experience to Thailand is complete without a visit to the Grand Palace in Bangkok, where you can enjoy some of the greatest wonders of Thailand all in one place. The Grand Palace was built in 1782 to establish Bangkok as the new capital, and much of the compound recreates the most important buildings from the former capital city Ayutthaya, which was invaded by the Burmese. Your day will also include a visit to the Wat Phra Kaeo, which is the name given to any temple in which the Emerald Buddha has been housed. The Emerald Buddha is made of jade, and is a sight to behold.
Days 5 and 6 - It’s time to travel further afield and head to Cambodia and see the town of Siam Reap, and the famous Angkor Wat. The name Siam Reap means ‘defeat of Siam’ and the town draws visitors to its famous monuments. It is one of most fascinating places in the world, and was made by the Khmer kings over four centuries. Angkor Wat was hidden by jungle until about 150 years ago, and has become a famous tourist attraction that many consider to display aspects of Siam. You can fly from Bangkok to Angkor Wat, or if you take a 12 days or longer holiday we can drive you there instead (it’s about three hours to the Cambodian border, and another four hours deeper into Cambodia, so it’s a long trip). If you’re travelling by car, you can also visit the famous Angkor temples in Thailand along the way. Please allow two additional days for this journey by car rather than flying (four days in total).
Day 7 – You return to Bangkok and do some last minute shopping and collect your photos from your Siam photo session a few days earlier. We’ll also take you for a traditional Siam dining experience, which your host will accompany you to if you so desire, and help you to select traditional Siam cuisine. For those that are still adventurous towards the end of this holiday, we can book you into a traditional Thai Teak House where you can dine in the old Siam style, and sleep in a traditional Siam manner. The property sits on the outskirts of Bangkok and will take you back in time. The house and grounds are beautiful, and this is an amazing experience worth considering to conclude your Siam holiday.
Day 8 – We will take you back to the airport in your private limo.
12 Days "Set your Sights" on our special full view Thailand Culture and Sightseeing Theme
(Deluxe Theme for 2 or more)

It was once the residence of the Kings of Thailand and is now yours to enjoy and walk around and get a taste of how royalty lived. Next to the Royal Palace is the Emerald Buddha Temple, another must see. Once you have sampled these spectacles, we will take you for a boat journey along the canals and give you a sense of life along Bangkok's waterways. You will get the opportunity to see Royal Barges and the Temple of Dawn. Once you have completed this sightseeing tour around some of the main attractions of Bangkok, we will recommend places for you to eat, relax and enjoy the rest of your day. The driver is available should you need him to take you around, or you can simply try out Bangkok's public transport and hop around in taxis, Tuk Tuks and by Skytrain and subway MRT: the choice is entirely yours. Sometimes the best holiday is one where one can achieve peace of mind
Buddhism is the main religion in Thailand and over 90 percent of Thai citizens are Buddhists. Meditation is one of the most important aspects of Buddhism, and seeking inner peace through meditation is a growing, global phenomenon.
Meditation is a safe way of balancing one's physical, emotional and mental states. Today, many physicians recommend meditation as a way of relaxing from the stress of everyday life. It can help to lower blood pressure, relieve insomnia, help asthmatic patients breathe more easily and improve exercise performance in those suffering from angina.
Apart from being ideal, purpose built surroundings for the practice of meditation, Buddhist temples are the best environment in which to appreciate Thai art and architecture. Their styles vary according to their location in Thailand and their history.

Day 7
Time for a last chance to sample the vibrancy of life in Bangkok and then head to the airport in your own private limo.
From 7+ days, but don't staytoo long on the wild side, as you may end up losing yourself completely andnever want to go back. You’d only be joining the scores of defected foreignerswho already have permanently if you did let go and became a dislocated farangliving the wild life in Thailand, but this is strictly a holiday trip and not alife changing experience.
Want to go to Thailand and do something completely different then, and know you can safely head back with a collection of stories to remember the rest of your days. Here’s a themed break that will take you for a walk on the wild side, with a certain degree of caution advised.
Day 1: You arrive in Bangkok and you're taken to your chosen hotel in your private limo. Once you've had a chance to rest, our host will meet you at the hotel and give you details on where to go on your first two nights in town, and what to see while in Bangkok.
Days 2 and 3: Your first few days are going to be based in Bangkok, where you will get the opportunity to see a real series of exciting Maui Thai fights, visit a nearby crocodile farm, or even a snake farm, and spend the evenings in some of the most notorious bars in Bangkok. We don’t advocate or support lewd behaviour, but we will provide you with the information you need to ensure that you are safe and know what you can and cannot do without getting into trouble. Note wild nights in Bangkok are not just for guys, but also girls, and couples, and include going to the cream of the lady boy shows, visiting the wilder streets of Bangkok, and getting a sense of the other side of the city.
Days 4 and 5: Ok, now it's time to experience another destination, something completely different, with more wild side options. You’ll be heading to the north of Thailand to Chiang Mai, and experiencing not just the northern capital of Thailand, but also going upcountry further and into the jungle and on a trip to the Thai border. Experience the old golden triangle route known for drug smuggling and get as close to the Myanamar border as you feel comfortable with. Chiang Mai is a better place for elephant riding if you would like to have a go.
Days 6 and 7: You're safely back in Bangkok, but not for long as you’re going down to decadent Pattaya, although there’s a bustling metropolis in the making with modern comforts, families, ex pats who would take offence if you said their city was purely for sin. But Pattaya is known for 'in your face' sin city lifestyle, and a wild side trip isn’t complete without a visit to Pattaya. Ride a wild bike, go island hopping, wine and dine, and go clubbing on Walking Street. From Pattaya you can head directly back to the airport via your own private limo.

Thai spas are famous around the world, with their own distinctive style and form of spa treatment that attracts visitors from all corners of the globe. The traditional Thai massage based on holistic therapy with ancient roots in traditional medicine is known for its revitalising value to both the body and the soul. Thai massage techniques are linked to the ancient yoga philosophy that our life energy is supplied to us along 72,000 lines that run along our bodies. Thai massage focuses on ten key energy lines along the body and uses pressure to release the blocked energy along these lines.
Unlike western massage, Thai massage doesn't use oils and the client remains fully clothed. The client is supplied with loose fitting cotton pajamas and the massage is done on a mattress on the floor.
Aside from Thai massage, the use of heat therapies combined with herbal ingredients is a distinguishing trait of traditional Thai healing practise. One of the most popular is the Thai herbal steam or sauna. Thai herbal steam is considered an effective method of weight loss if done regularly over an extended period of time.
There is also the ancient Thai healing therapy of prakop, or hot herbal compressed made of medicinal herbs wrapped in a bundle of cloth, heated with steam and then pounded on the aching areas of the body, like tense shoulders or stiff joints.
