7 Days Bangkok and River Kwai Cruise Holiday in Thailand Print E-mail

 

 

This is a special 7 day themed holiday around the River Kwai 3 day cruise. You can pick the River Kwai 3 day cruise separately, which sets sail every Monday and Wednesday. English and German speaking guides are available as well as other languages on request.

Day 1

Arrive in Bangkok and check into your choice of hotel.  Spend the evening relaxing and perhaps having a look around Bangkok, with many places to visit such as the night market.

Day2

Your stay begins by taking you to The Grand Palace, which is one ofthe most amazing representations of an ancient Siamese court. It was once the residence of the Kings of Thailand and is now yours to enjoy and walk aroundand get a feeling of how royalty once lived. Next to the Royal Palace is theEmerald Buddha Temple, another must see when visiting this modern capital. Onceyou have sampled these spectacles, we will take you for a boat journey alongthe canals and give you a sense of life along Bangkok's waterways. You will get the opportunity to see Royal Barges and the Temple of Dawn.  When you have completed this sightseeing tour around some of the main attractions of Bangkok,we will recommend places for you to eat, relax and enjoy the rest of your day.T he driver is available should you need him to shuttle you around, or you can simply try out Bangkok's public transport and hop around in taxis, Tuk Tuks and by Skytrain and subway MRT: the choice is yours. 

Day3

BANGKOK–NAKHON CHAISRIRIVER–SUPHANBURI-UTHAI THANI (-/L/D)

In the morning depart from your hotel and drive to Nakorn Pathom. Visit an orchid farm. Continue to Lampaya Temple and board a rice barge to cruiseon Nakorn Chaisri River, one of Thailand’s most natural and cleanest rivers with beautiful birds and water vegetable plantations along the way.   Continue by car to a small village in Suphanburi to see Thai style houses on the riverside and the way of life along the river. Guests enjoy Thai style lunch served at the village. Continue to Uthai Thani and visit the local evening market. Check in at the Country Lake Nature Lodge. In the evening guests may participate at Thai cooking demonstration and have dinner at the Resort.  Overnight at COUNTRY LAKE NATURE LODGE.

Day 4

HUB PATAD–BUNGBORAPHET  SWAMP ( B/L/D)

Guests will be woken up by a bird orchestra and enjoy the fresh air of Country Lake.  After breakfast drive to Hub Pa TadValley.  Surrounded by the old stone mountains, the hidden forest of rare big palm trees which seem to be from the time of “Jurassic Park”  is waiting for  you to be explored. After walking through a 100 meters long tunnel, guests will find themselves in a different natural green world. Then on board on a motor boat to visit the Bird Sanctuary at Bung Boraphet Swamp in NakornSawan.   In the Evening  BBQ Dinner and overnight at COUNTRY LAKE NATURE LODGE.

Day 5

  SAKAEKRANG RIVER–WAT TASUNG–AYUTTHAYA–BANGKOK  (B/L/-)

After breakfast guests can relax in the resort or explore the surrounding nature. Several kinds of birds can be watched at the resort. After breakfast depart from the resort to Uthai Thani. Visit Sakaekrang River and Sakaekrang Hilland continue to Wat Tasung temple, the biggest and most famous temple in Uthai Thani, serving as Buddhist meditation center. Be amazed bythe crystal hall and the golden altars. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then continue to Ayutthaya to visit the historical ruins , Wat Prasisanphet.  In the late afternoon return to Bangkok and transfer to hotels.

Day 6

You're back in Bangkok, and your suitcase is starting to fill up, but you're still only warming up on your last minute shopping spree. Ok, it's time for some wholesale market shopping - this is where the shopkeepers buy their stuff and you can go there as well. Visit someof the greatest wholesale markets in Bangkok, where you will be escorted by your host and your limo can collect and store your possessions. Now that's what we call shopping and it's starting to get hot and tiring after all that haggling. Time to get back to your hotel, relax.

Day 7

Time for a last chance to sample the vibrancy of life in Bangkok and then head to the airport in your own private limo.
