The Best of Beaches (visit the best beaches in Thailand holiday)
12 Days of Roaming Beaches and Island Hopping plus some boating (Deluxe theme for 2 or more)
(Can be extended to 14 days by spending extra nights in any of the resorts)
If you are a family or couple and you would like to enjoy a great beach holiday, this theme is the one for you. There's nothing quite like beach hopping from one great beach resort to another, and staying in amazing hotels and being transported safely and comfortably from one destination to the other. The running order of beaches can be changed if you'd prefer a different order from the one we've outlined below, as well as the durations you will stay at each destination. The order below is designed for traveling mostly by car, and you will only make one initial flight to Phuket and then be driven to the other destinations. This is the way most Thai people travel to the resorts and also a way for you to take in the most views and get a better sense of Thailand.
- Days 1 and 2 - Bangkok and set to go. Arrive into Bangkok and check into your choice of 4/5 star hotel. You will be picked up by your own personal driver in a comfortable limo and your host will welcome you at the hotel and make sure that you're properly checked in. Once you have had a chance to freshen up and/or get some rest to recover from your flight you will be taken by limousine to visit some of the top sights in Bangkok accompanied by your own personal host. Even though this is a beach holiday, you simply cannot miss getting a taste of the best of Bangkok when you arrive in the city. Your stay begins by taking you to The Grand Palace, which is one of the most amazing representations of an ancient Siamese court. It was once the residence of the Kings of Thailand and is now yours to enjoy and walk around and get a feeling of how royalty once lived. Next to the Royal Palace is the Emerald Buddha Temple, another must see when visiting this modern capital. Once you have sampled these spectacles, we will take you for a boat journey along the canals and give you a sense of life along Bangkok's waterways. You will get the opportunity to see Royal Barges and the Temple of Dawn. When you have completed this sightseeing tour around some of the main attractions of Bangkok, we will recommend places for you to eat, relax and enjoy the rest of your day. The driver is available should you need him to shuttle you around, or you can simply try out Bangkok's public transport and hop around in taxis, Tuk Tuks and by Skytrain and subway MRT: the choice is yours. Your short stay in Bangkok will not be complete without a visit to a show, and we'll arrange for you to spend an evening visiting the Calypso ladyboys show. Phuket by plane. You arrive in Phuket and will be collected by a driver in a private limousine where you will be transferred to the 4/5 star hotel of your choice. If you're keen to visit the city of Pattaya, simply delay the next step of your journey by a day and drive to Pattaya with one night there. You will return to Bangkok the following day to begin the remainder of your beach holiday.
- Day 3 - Flying to Phuket. You're now ready to experience the great beaches on the Andaman side of Thailand's peninsula, and you'll be heading to Phuket by air. Phuket is quite a long journey by road from Bangkok, therefore we will only drive back and stop at several destinations to break up the return journey.
- Days 3, 4 and 5 - Along Pacific Ocean Beaches On Days 3, 4 and 5 you will be in Phuket and we will arrange a boat trip around Phuket and surrounding islands with a local host. If you'd like to visit Krabi, we can also arrange a drive from Phuket to Krabi overland where you can spend one of your nights there instead. Your host will accompany you on your boat trips around Phuket and nearby islands. Koh Yao and Koh Naka are undeveloped islands of natural beauty close to Phuket, in the Phang Nga area of the Andaman Sea. Please note that you will have a different host for Koh Samui and Hua Hin, as they are entirely different resorts.
- Days 6, 7 and 8 - Around the Gulf of Thailand. Now it's time to get to the beaches along the gulf of Thaliand and have more fun. Your first destination along the gulf is travelling to the island of Koh Samui. This is around a 3-4 hour drive from Phuket and includes a short ferry trip to get to the island. There you will be taken to the 4/5 star resort of your choice, where you will enjoy a couple of days of relaxation and sun. Your driver will be available to drive you around the island. On one of the days you can also enjoy hopping around by boat to the nearby islands. You can visit nearby Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, or head to Anthong National Marine Park by boat from the island. Your host will accompany you on your island hopping trip to fill you in on what you're seeing and ensure your safety.
- Days 9 and 10 - A Visit to the King's Resort Town. Your driver will now drive you from Koh Samui (via ferry) onto the mainland and you'll head towards Hua Hin, where the King spends most of his time. You'll spend two nights in Hua Hin at a four star resort of your choice and then head by car back to Bangkok on Day 11. Enjoy walking along the beaches of Hua Hin, a favourite holiday resort not just for foreigners from all over the world, but also for Thai people who love visiting.
- Days 11 and 12 - Final Stop Gets You Back into Bangkok. You will drive back to Bangkok on your final days and then either catch your international flight out of Thailand or spend an extra night or two in Bangkok for visiting some more sights or for shopping excursions. There is also an opportunity to spend a night in Pattaya if you'd like to see this resort as well along the gulf (it's on the other side of the gulf and best travelled via Bangkok when returning from Hua Hin); however we don't normally recommend Pattaya night life for families with young children, as it's a very grown up town with relaxed views in terms of what's on offer for visitors enjoying the night life. The resorts are also extremely good and if you'd like to enjoy the resorts on their own, we'd recommend this option for families with perhaps a short visit into town to get a sense of this famous Thailand destination.
