Full Tour of Top Sights
12 Days "Set your Sights" on our special full view Thailand Culture and Sightseeing Theme
(Deluxe Theme for 2 or more)
(Can be extended to 14 days by spending an extra night in Chiang Mai and the final night in Bangkok)
If you are a couple or a family and you'd like to really see Thailand and soak in its history, culture, people and atmosphere in a short space of time here's a special deluxe package that we have for you which will give you the time of your life.
You'll almost end up sleeping and breathing all things Siam, but with the added comfort of staying in some of the finest hotels in Thailand and being driven around in the style and comfort of your own personal vehicle. Just to make sure it's not just all culturally biased, we'll also include two visits to some of the top beaches in Thailand.
This is the holiday that combines both a cultural visit of Thailand with a chance to really enjoy the beaches, and all in just 12 days. We would recommend another night's stay in Chiang Mai if you have the time (as the visit to Sukothai involves a fair amount of driving), and perhaps a final night in Bangkok for some shopping before you return, but this can all be done in just 12 days.
- Days 1 and 2 - Bangkok and set to go. Arrive Bangkok and check into your choice of 4/5 star hotel. You will be picked up by your own personal driver in a comfortable limo and your host will welcome you at the hotel and make sure that you're properly checked in. Once you have had a chance to freshen up and/or get some rest to recover from your flight you will be taken by limousine to visit some of the top sights in Bangkok accompanied by your own personal host. This begins by taking you to The Grand Palace, which is one of the most amazing samples of an ancient Siamese court. It was once the residence of the Kings of Thailand and is now yours to enjoy and walk around and get a taste of how royalty lived. Next to the Royal Palace is the Emerald Buddha Temple, another must see. Once you have sampled these spectacles, we will take you for a boat journey along the canals and give you a sense of life along Bangkok's waterways. You will get the opportunity to see Royal Barges and the Temple of Dawn. Once you have completed this sightseeing tour around some of the main attractions of Bangkok, we will recommend places for you to eat, relax and enjoy the rest of your day. The driver is available should you need him to take you around, or you can simply try out Bangkok's public transport and hop around in taxis, Tuk Tuks and by Skytrain and subway MRT: the choice is entirely yours. Your short stay in Bangkok will not be complete without a visit to a show, and we?ll arrange for you to spend an evening visiting the famous Calypso ladyboys show in central Bangkok.
- Day 3 Step back in time to the glory days of Ayutthaya, the former capital of Siam You've had two days in Bangkok and now the city is starting to feel a little bit familiar. Time for you start soaking in more of the ancient cultures of Siam. On Day 3 we will take you to the ancient city of Ayutthaya, formerly the capital of Siam and now a world cultural heritage site. Ayutthaya is about two hours drive from the centre of Bangkok and it's a full day's trip. You will leave in the morning with your own driver and host and enjoy the day visiting the remains of this ancient city.
- Days 4, 5 and 6 - A taste of sandy beaches and the fresh sea air. Now it's time to change gear and head away from Bangkok to the more coastal areas. As this is more of a culturally focused package, we will take you for a couple of days to the resort town of Hua Hin, also about two hours away from Bangkok and perched along the coast of Thailand. There you will stay at one of the 4/5 star resort hotels of your choice and enjoy a mixture of sightseeing and having a lazy time on the beach. Your driver will take you by limousine to Hua Hin and will then collect you on Day 6 to take you to the airport back in Bangkok. An alternative to going to Hua Hin can be a visit to the other nearby resort town of Pattaya. Pattaya is a famous resort town quite near Bangkok, and even a little closer than Hua Hin. It's not as culturally renown as Hua Hin, and it's nightlife is a little of the seedier side (be warned for those who are easily offended by clusters of bars filled with eager hostesses in the city centre), but it has a couple of nearby islands that can be reached by boat (around 20 minutes away), great food and a strong and well established Expat community. Pattaya has evolved into a mini city, and for those who have an open mind there is a lot to enjoy there without having to set foot into any hostess bar.
- Days 7, 8 and 9 - More beaches and island hopping. No trip to Thailand is complete without a visit to the one of the famous resort islands and your next stop is a visit to either Koh Samui, Krabi or Phuket - take your pick. We will arrange a local flight for you to visit one of the great resort islands and you will stay for two nights at a 4/5 star hotel of your choice. At the island you will be picked up by a local limousine and driver and taken to the resort where you will be offered detailed information for your stay with plenty of choices in terms of what to do. For these days we are going to take a break from engaging in cultural sightseeing and really just enjoy the wonderful seaside vistas: the sand, the beach and the water. During your stay you will have access to your own personal driver and limousine to take you around the island and look after you.
- Days 10, 11 and 12 - Head north and visit the ancient capital of Thailand where the culture of Siam began, Sukothai Now you're on your last leg of the journey, which cannot be complete without a trip to the northern town of Chiang Mai. You will fly from your beach resort destination to Chiang Mai where you will stay for one night at a 4/5 star resort hotel. You will be collected at the local airport by a local English speaking host (please check with us for other languages such as German and Japanese) and your local driver and limousine. Whilst in Chiang Mai you can visit the nearby Doi Suthep Temple, approx. 12 kms from the centre of Chiang Mai. You'll be heading through the Doi Suthep National Park to get there. Once you arrive at the temple, you will need to ascend the 190 steps or travel uphill by the small 'cable car' to really take in the views. For those who prefer to wait at the bottom, our driver will take you to the nearby village of Doi Suthep where you can either enjoy some coffee/food or do some local shopping. But if you can make your way up to the temple you won't be disappointed as you can enjoy the stunning views over the temple valley as well as enjoy the architecture and style of the temple itself. Don't miss the chance to see the enormous golden stupa inside the temple.
