Wildlife Holiday in Thailand Print E-mail

12 Days Wildlife Theme (Deluxe Theme for 2 or more)

Can be extended to 14 days by spending an extra night in Chiang Mai and the final night in Bangkok)

Would you like to come to Thailand and do something different? How about  a tailor made holiday theme based around seeing the country's abundance  of wildlife and getting closer to nature? You'll get to come up close to some of the country's most famous wildlife, such as elephants, snakes, tigers,  crocodiles, and more.  Enjoy Thailand in a way you never thought possible and get back in touch with the wild side.  This is great theme for families  with children and a host to each destination will accompany you in order to ensure our utmost safety.

  • Day 1  - Bangkok and set to go.  Arrive Bangkok and check into your choice of 4/5 star hotel. You will be picked up by your own personal driver in a comfortable limo and your host will welcome you at the hotel and make sure that you're properly checked in.  Once you have had a chance to freshen up and/or get some rest to recover from your flight you will be taken by limousine to visit some of the top sights in Bangkok accompanied by your own personal host. Even though this is a wildlife holiday, you simply cannot miss getting a taste of the best of Bangkok when you arrive in the city. Your stay begins by taking you to The Grand Palace, which is one of the most amazing samples of an ancient Siamese court. It was once the residence of the Kings of Thailand and is now yours to enjoy and walk around and get a taste of how royalty lived. Next to the Royal Palace is the Emerald Buddha Temple, another must see. Once you have sampled these spectacles, we will take you for a boat journey along the canals and give you a sense of life along Bangkok's waterways. You will get the opportunity to see Royal Barges and the Temple of Dawn. When you have completed this sightseeing tour around some of the main attractions of Bangkok, we will recommend places for you to eat, relax and enjoy the rest of your day. The driver is available should you need him, or you can simply try out Bangkok's taxis, Skytrain and Tuk Tuks.  Your initial stay in Bangkok will not be complete without a visit to Ocean World in the centre of Bangkok (based at Siam Paragon shopping centre). This will give you a taste of marine life and wet your appetite for the coming wildlife odyssey. There are 7 different zones which are: Weird and Wonderful, Deep Reef, Living Ocean, Rainforest, Rocky Shore, Open Ocean, and Sea Jellies.

  • Days 2 and 3 Your next destination on Day 2 or 3 will be Thailand's Safari World, where you will be driven in your own private limo with driver through the 170 acres featuring a large variety of animals including zebras, Jeers, giraffes, birds, tigers, lions, bears and more. There's also a Marine Park where you can see trained dolphins, birds, seals and monkeys.  There's more still to enjoy near Bangkok with a trip to the nearby Snake Farm at the Pasteur Institute.  There you will see a large collection of poisonous snakes with demonstrations on how the venom from snakes are extracted for providing treatment.

  • Days 4 and 5 - Chiang Mai and Elephants  It's time for a complete change of scenery and a trip up to Chiang Mai by plane to prepare yourself for a visit to the Elephant Training Centre at Ta Yaak Village, about 68 kms north of the city. You will spend two nights in Chiang Mai and a good part of the day visiting the Elephant Training Centre. There are elephant shows showing how elephants have been taught skills and displays of the strength of the elephant/mahout relationship

  • Days 6, 7 and 8 - Tigers and Crocs nearer to the capital.  Once you've had a chance to enjoy Chiang Mai, it's back to Bangkok where you can sample some more exotic animals.  Your next destination will be to visit Tiger Temple, which is a couple of hours drive from Bangkok and also a special visit to the Samut Prakarn Crocodile Farm and Zoo, both great wildlife destinations. Tiger Temple will get you close to real Tigers, which are looked after by local monks. Founded in 1950, this crocodile farm ranks as one of the world's largest.  It boasts a diverse range of more than 60,000 fresh and seawater crocodiles, including the largest ever held in captivity. There are other animals you can also enjoy here as well. You can even visit the Dinosaur Museum featuring 13 species of life-size dinosaurs.

  • Days 9, 10 and 11 - Visiting the Islands and Island Life.  Time for a break from Bangkok and a trip to the island resort Koh Samui.  You'll arrive in Koh Samui where you will be picked up by your driver and limousine and taken to your choice of 4/5 star resort on the Island.  On one of the days you will have the opportunity to take a boat trip to visit the nearby Angthong National Marine Park, where you can sample animals in the wild. A guide will escort you during your boat trip and show you around.  You can also charter your own boat or yacht for a private tour around the islands, to really make this trip something special. Please contact us for details on costs.

  • Day 12 - Back to Bangkok.  On your last day it's back to Bangkok and a final chance to do some shopping before you head back home.
