Traveller's Delight Holiday in Thailand Print E-mail

12 Days Thailand Varied Means of Travel Theme (Deluxe Theme for 2 or more)

(Can be extended to 14 days by spending extra nights in any of the destinations)

  • Days 1 and 2 - Bangkok and set to go.  Once you have had a chance to freshen up and/or get some rest to recover from your  flight you will be taken by limousine to visit some of the top sights in Bangkok  accompanied by your own personal host. Even though this is a traveller's holiday, you  simply cannot miss getting a taste of the best of Bangkok when you arrive in the city.  Your stay begins by taking you to The Grand Palace, which is one of the most amazing  samples of an ancient Siamese court. It was once the residence of the Kings of Thailand and is now yours to enjoy and walk around and get a taste of how royalty lived.  Next to the Royal Palace is the Emerald Buddha Temple, another must see. Once  you have sampled these spectacles, we will take you for a boat journey along the  canals and give you a sense of life along Bangkok's waterways. You will get the  opportunity to see Royal Barges and the Temple of Dawn.  When you have completed this sightseeing tour around some of the main attractions of Bangkok, we will recommend places for you to eat, relax and enjoy the rest of your day. The driver is available should you need him, or you can simply try out Bangkok's public transport and hop around in taxis, Tuk Tuks and by Skytrain and subway MRT: the choice is yours.

  • Days 3 and 4 - A river cruise to the ancient capital of Ayutthaya.  You will enjoy a luxury river cruise to Ayutthaya, which involves staying overnight to a four-star standard of accommodation on a riverboat.  Ayutthaya was formerly the capital of Siam and is now a world cultural heritage site.  Your host will meet you in Ayutthaya and take you around by limousine for the day.  Once you have enjoyed the sights of Ayutthaya, your driver will drive you back to Bangkok where you will spend a night before travelling on.

  • Days 5 and 6 - Bangkok to Hua Hin by train.  You'll now catch a train from Bangkok's rail terminal to Hua Hin. This is roughly a three-hour journey where you will have the opportunity to experience travelling by train. Although quite a brief train journey, it will give you a taste of travelling by train.  At Hua Hin you'll be picked up by your local host and driver and taken to your 4/5 star hotel of choice where you will spend a night. This is a great opportunity to visit the beaches in Hua Hin and get a taste for the town that the King spends most of his time in.

  • Days 7, 8 and 9 - Heading to Koh Samui by Catamaran.  Now we'll drive for around four hours to a port town south of Hua Hin where you will catch a Catamaran ferry that will take you around the islands toward Koh Samui. You will visit several islands and after around 4 hours of island hopping you will arrive in Koh Samui, where you will spend a couple of nights.  We can also charter a private boat for you to head along the islands and arrive in Koh Samui, and separate prices are available for this. Please note that private boat hire is quite expensive and the prices will reflect the extra cost involved.  You will be picked up on your arrival in Koh Samui by your driver and taken to the 4/5 star resort hotel of your choice. You guide will accompany you on your island-hopping trip to Koh Samui.  In Koh Samui you will be driven around the island as well to get a taste of what?s on offer.

  • Days 10 and 11 - Drive to Phuket by car.  From Koh Samui we are going to head by car to Phuket, which is about a 3-4 hours drive along with a short ferry trip from Koh Samui island. You will cut across the Thai peninsula to the other side and arrive in Phuket to enjoy the spectacular views of the Andaman Sea and its wonderful beaches.  You'll spend two nights in Phuket and also have the opportunity to do some island hopping should you wish. From Phuket, you will fly back to Bangkok on your last day.

  • Day 12 - Fly back to Bangkok.  You'll be back in Bangkok to enjoy some last minute shopping and prepare for you return journey.
